The
goal of the XYF is to help high school students make the transition from
children to adults who take seriously their life with Christ. The XYF helps
high school students express their faith and practice Christian fellowship
through worship and Bible study, small group care giving and prayer, service
to the congregation and beyond, and activities.
- Worship and Bible Study The focus of the XYF is on Sunday morning
worship and Bible study when we gather weekly around the Word and Sacrament.
-
Hot Talks - Wednesday evenings during the school year, youth
and friends gather to discuss topics of interest to the group.
- VBS Shepherds - Each year, during the first week of June, the
high school youth play an important role as leaders of young students
at Vacation Bible School.
- Softball Teams Each summer our church sponsors one
or two co-ed high school softball teams through the City Parks and Rec.
Teen League. Games are played on Wednesday evenings at the Smith Softball
Complex in June and July.
